This açaí seed adornment has a jarina bead, or vegetable ivory, in the center. Around it, are light morototó seeds paired with dyed açaí and black misanga preta seeds, creating a natural contrast in tone and texture.
Depending on the variation, the açaí seeds are either deep purple or warm orange, giving each necklace its own distinct feel while keeping the same balanced composition.
-
Orange – clarinha morototó mixed with orange açaí seeds for a warmer, sun-toned look
-
Purple – clarinha morototó mixed with purple açaí seeds for a deeper, more earthy feel
Our founder, Kumba Shakur, traveled from Miami to southern Bahia, to curate the Tales from the Pataxó collection. Each piece was chosen for its symbolism and craftsmanship, offering something you can connect with and learn from. These adornments invite you into other ways of living and seeing the world.
At Tales of the Wind, we remain committed to honoring and preserving culture while supporting the communities and artisans behind each piece.
