Muña is a popular herb in Peru and Bolivia that is used in cooking and herbal teas. Also called Andean mint, Muña leaves are from the Minthostachys mollis plant. High in calcium and iron, it can be brewed into an herbal tea that is said to help with parasites, gastritis, digestion, fever, stomach pain, coughs, and bronchial issues. It is also considered to have expectorant qualities and to relieve altitude sickness.
